Launch of Altair RapidMiner 2023 to Deliver Powerful GenAI Capabilities

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has brought forward a new world of possibilities for how businesses operate and deliver unique customer experiences. It also created a race to harness the power of GenAI to maximize productivity and reduce costs. Altair, a leading computational science and AI company announced a major update to its data analytics and AI platform, Alateri RapidMiner. The update empowers users of all skill levels by providing access to more user-friendly and powerful no-code/low-code GenAI capabilities.

In 2022, Altair completed the acquisition of RapidMiner to strengthen its end-to-end data analytics portfolio and continue growing its existing business. Earlier this year, Altair unified and rebranded all its data analytics and AI suite as Altair RapidMiner.

The latest update to the platform includes a streamlined coding experience, new and advanced tools for the integration of large language models (LLMs) into business applications, and powerful tools for history and live data visualization.

According to Sam Mahalingam, chief technology officer, Altair, the update to the platform is a “game-changing ecosystem for organizations in all industries, helping reduce friction and accelerate their digital transformation journey”. He further added that “The upgrades to Altair RapidMiner elevate the platform’s capabilities to a new level and further solidify its position as a comprehensive, end-to-end, and one-of-a-kind offering within the data analytics and AI sphere”.

One of the key updates to the system is the addition of GenAI capabilities to the embedded AI. Users can use their own data to build unique versions of LLM models and simplify their workflow design. For example, organizations can now create their own version of ChatGPT fine-tuned to their applications, clients, nomenclature, and product universe. The updates also offer over a billion parameters and utilization of ChatGPT’s new API to customize the AI models without needing to write any code.

Building on its core features to bring data science to everyone, the updated platform features a comprehensive AutoML toolset that supports automated clustering, feature engineering, predictive modeling, and time series forecasting. In addition, the wizard-based UI empowers users new to ML to build production-ready models.

One of the most significant updates to Altair RapidMiner 2023 is the addition of the Altair SLC, an alternative SAS language environment to support advanced analytics and short development and deployment cycles. These updates address one of the key challenges for businesses – moving to a flexible and modern analytics platform without disruption to business operations.

Developers can use the enhanced Python API to test and run the SAS language from within their development environment. In addition, the Alatir AI Cloud now features a new development environment with an interactive coding environment to develop production-ready Python code.

RapidMiner 2023 offers a solution to this issue with its streamlined version of the Altair Panopticon – the platform’s data visualization and streaming analytics solution. This version includes optimized UI, new layout tools and templates, and new style settings to customize dashboards.

In addition to the UI and customization enhancements, the update also offers more tools to analyze large, complex, and fast-changing datasets, spot outliers and anomalies, and gain new insights into their data quickly.

Altair also announced its continued investment in its patented data extraction and preparation advancement platform – Altair Monarch. The platform now offers improved security and performance including Google Cloud storage, Azure Blob storage, and Azure Active Directory.
